Senior Electrical Engineer

Interface Engineering, an internationally recognized leader in high performance design, is seeking to add a Senior Electrical Engineer to our Portland, OR Team.

Key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: client management, project management, oversight of support staff, systems design, specifications,  and providing exemplary service to new and existing clients from kickoff through project completion.

Qualified candidates should have a BSME and sic to ten years of experience at a consulting engineering practice specific to electrical systems design for educational, commercial, and/or healthcare projects.

Excellent project management skills, client management skills and communication abilities are an absolute must. A Professional Engineering License is preferred. LEED Accreditation is preferred.

Proficiency in CAD and Revit is definitely a plus.

Marketing Coordinator

Interface Engineering is a multidiscipline mechanical and electrical engineering firm known for visionary sustainable design and breakthrough engineering solutions for new and existing buildings. From four employees in 1969, our practice has grown into a nationally recognized consultancy with over 180 professionals in five offices. We are looking for a dynamic, creative Marketing Coordinator to join our ranks in the Portland Headquarters location.

Working directly with principals and senior marketers, this role will focus on proposals, and also support the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines, and enjoy both collaborative and independent project environments. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are a must.

This position joins a progressive, energetic marketing team that truly supports professional development, through both industry organization memberships and continuing education. Responsibilities
  • Proposals: Write, edit, and produce qualification materials and submittals. Identify and research project   solicitations and leads.
  • Copywriting: Develop project descriptions, articles, award submissions, and industry surveys.
  • Data Management: Maintain systems and tools to track marketing opportunities, digital assets, and staff and project information for digital and print needs.
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or relevant working experience required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry or professional services firm, preferably in marketing capacity
  • Strong writing, communication, and graphic design skills
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Deltek Vision or equivalent CRM Database
  • Preference will be given to Certified Professional Services Marketers (CPSM)

Lighting Designer

Interface Engineering, Inc., a prominent MEP Sustainable Design and Consulting firm is currently seeking a lighting designer to join our Seattle, WA team.

Qualified candidates will have a degree in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Lighting Design or a degree in a related field with significant lighting design course work. Must have at least 3 years’ experience in the lighting design industry. Membership in the IALD and/or a Lighting Certified credential is a plus.

A working knowledge of AutoCAD and AGI 32 required. Experience with REVIT is a plus.  An understanding of the aesthetic side of lighting combined with excellent organizational and communication skills is necessary.

The Lighting Studio is a team oriented collaborative unit within Interface Engineering comprised of self motivated designers.

Entry Level Electrical Designer

Interface Engineering, an internationally recognized leader in high performance design, is seeking to add an Entry Level Electrical Designer to join our San Francisco team.

Key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:  preliminary building power and lighting systems design, specifications, and providing exemplary service to both team members and clients.

Qualified candidates should have a BSME Degree and some working knowledge of electrical systems design. Knowledge of industry codes and standards is required. Excellent time management and communication skills are a must. EIT is preferred. LEED GA is a plus.

Ideal candidates will also be familiar with CAD and REVIT.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Interface Engineering, Inc., a prominent MEP Consulting firm internationally recognized in sustainable design, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our professional team in our Honolulu office.

Qualified candidates should have a BSME and at least seven years of experience at a consulting engineering practice and project management specific to HVAC systems for educational, commercial, healthcare and other project types. Must have excellent project management skills and extensive client interaction experience. Professional Engineering License and LEED Accreditation is preferred.
