Building Electrification: The End Game
2025 High Performance Buildings Webinar Series
Mar 06, 2025
Interface invites you to attend an informative presentation and the second installment of our 2025 High Performance Buildings Educational Series, Building Electrification: The End Game presented by Steve Dacus, PE, LEED AP, Cody Bargholz, PE, LEED AP, LC and Jason Sullivan, PE, LEED AP.
This webinar demonstrates how building electrification can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on natural gas, preparing buildings for a low-carbon future. Participants will explore the impacts of transitioning to electric systems, advantages of high-efficiency heat pumps, and integrating renewable energy. By the end, attendees will gain the foundational knowledge needed to advocate for and design electrification solutions that improve building performance and occupant comfort.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the Role of Electrification: Identify the significance of building electrification in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and conserving natural gas resources.
- Explore Electrification Technologies: Learn about the advantages of heat pumps over resistance heating and discover climate-specific strategies to optimize performance in various building types.
- Recognize Opportunities in Existing Buildings: Explore practical opportunities to electrify HVAC, water heating, and other systems during upgrades and renovations.
- Incorporate Renewable and Smart Technologies: Discover ways to integrate renewable energy systems, battery storage, and grid-interactive technologies to improve efficiency and resilience.
