IEI University: Facade Performance Workshop

Feb 23, 2017

Please join Interface Engineering for our first session of 2017. Interface’s Building Science Team will discuss the key attributes of façade performance. The presentation and discussion will focus on optimizing energy consumption and thermal comfort by balancing heat gain, heat loss, and daylight availability. The implications of window-to-wall ratio, glazing performance, opaque wall performance, and shading will be discussed in the context of various climate zones and building types. Several case studies, both real-world and hypothetical, will be presented.

There is no charge and dinner will be provided for all attendees. As an AIA accredited course, participants will each earn LU credits. IEI University classes are geared toward senior designers that already have a strong building design background. .
