Dwell chose Portland Community College’s Newberg Education Center (Hennebery Eddy Architects) as one of its featured projects making “Sustainable Strides in Today’s Architecture.” The first net-zero energy college facility in Oregon, PCC Newberg incorporates numerous energy and water reduction features, including passive cooling, innovative daylighting controls, and low-flow fixtures that have reduced water use by nearly 50%.
