Jessica Kaplan Wins Women of Vision Award

Jessica Kaplan was among the 46 women recognized for their involvement shaping industry in Oregon and SW Washington. Jessica, a registered Professional Engineer, has demonstrated outstanding leadership, community involvement, and mentorship. She has made an impact in her recent projects at Interface designing all aspects of electrical, backup power, lighting controls and on-site renewables for a new middle school in Ridgefield, Washington, and an alternative high school in Woodburn, Oregon. She is a key contributor to company monthly electrical exchange meetings, bringing robust knowledge of state electrical code updates for solar power.
Jessica has a clear commitment to environmental stewardship, as well as improving opportunities for the next generation of women engineers. She works with Girl Build, a Portland summer camp aimed towards girls ages 8 to 14. Jessica also participates with the Portland Habitat for Humanity chapter and is organizing our company’s involvement in their summer projects.
