Woodburn Success Highschool Now Net Zero Energy Certified

Interface is honored to have contributed to the Woodburn Success High School project. Woodburn Success High School is proving indispensable as a unique alternative education program with a commitment to creating smaller learning environments and nurturing stronger partnerships with family. Woodburn Success High School achieved Net Zero Energy Certified status and is the first high school enrolled in Energy Trust’s Path to Net Zero initiative. The design strategy was driven by the idea of a building that teaches sustainability by making it a visible learning tool, and the combination of sustainability measures designed by Interface along with the renewable resource enabled the project to achieve Net-Zero energy certification. Lastly, the reduction in operating cost allows the district to utilize monetary savings for books and technology to enhance the learning experience.
