Interface Engineering is the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Energy, Commissioning, and Low Voltage designer for the new 400,000 square foot Life Science facility at Aquatic Park in Berkeley.

The project will utilize the first of its kind all electric solution for lab building design. The system is designed to be delivered at a cost lower than a traditional laboratory building with a lower maintenance, carbon, and operational cost.

The core and shell lab buildings designed to support 60% wet research laboratory and 40% office and to operate as a Net Zero Energy Core and Shell Operations with on-site PV on each building.
