Interface Engineering provided MEP services to support the remodel of the existing racquetball court into a new dining hall at the southwest portion of the campus.

The Cal Maritime Academy Campus Dining Center was designed to be highly sustainable, and implemented multiple strategies including:

  • an assisted natural ventilation system for passive heating
  • a radiant floor heating system with condensing boiler technology
  • variable refrigerant air conditioning for the conference room level
  • demand control ventilation for the kitchen grease hood system optimized envelope
  • a heat recovery ware-washer system
