The Louisa

The Louisa is located in the Brewery Blocks, a location that’s become a symbol of successful redevelopment and green building in Portland.

With parking below grade, retail space at the street level and 242 apartments above, The Louisa was designed with sustainable living in mind. Energy-efficient appliances, low-flow plumbing fixtures, high-efficiency glazing and a green roof are all in use.

Balconies on the south side of the building serve as shading devices for apartments below in the summer months, but allow heat and light to enter in the winter. The building’s operable windows allow for natural ventilation.
