The Abingdon Elementary School project involved the renovation and a 27,000 sf addition to the existing building that expanded the capacity of the school from 589 to approximately 725 students.
Interface Engineering provided MEP Engineering and Sustainable Design services. The project included mechanical VRF for heating and cooling, as well as dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS) with energy recovery.
Collaboration with the APS Building Level Planning Committee, the Arlington County Public Facilities Review Committee and APS staff helped our team develop a site plan that properly accommodates the needs of the student body.
