The new facility features ample photovoltaics as well as wastewater collection and reuse. The compound will have offices for the consular staff, various United States agencies, local guards, and Marine guards. In addition to office space, recreation facilities with an exercise room, swimming pool, and cabana are part of the design. Multiple secure access pavilions are planned, including one dedicated to pedestrian access and another service entrance, leaving the main entrance free for diplomatic vehicular traffic. A parking garage will provide 300 spaces for consular staff and visitors.
