The new brewery, winery, and food pilot plant building, co-located with the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science, serves as a laboratory and teaching facility for University of California Davis. The facility houses the August A. Busch III Brewing and Food Science Laboratory and the Teaching and Research Winery, a food processing pilot plant, dairy processing facility, pilot brewery, and a platform for experimentation in wine processing.
This facility is the world’s first LEED Platinum winery, brewery, food processing pilot plant, and milk-processing lab, as well as the first LEED Platinum building on the UC Davis campus.
